A cheerleading deadman dismount is also called a cradle and can be done from 2 legs or 1 at any level. Make sure you know weather you are a back base or a flyer and that you have an experienced coach and a mat or grass below you before trying this dismount. you should also be able to do a prep/half bump down or higher.

== Steps ==
=== Bases ===
# Start by loading into a prep, make sure you make a flat surface with your hands for the flyer to stand on and grab her shoes tight so she feels more secure.
# practice dipping with the flyer in your hands on the same count.ex: 1,2, dip together and stand up DO NOT THROWmake sure to dup with your legs nd not your arms, your arms should stay the same throughout the whole dip
# Try the dismount now,Dip just like before but instead of standing up you should stand super fast and push though your arms and legs as hard as possible. make sure to throw straight up and extend your arms and legs.
# to catch your flyer keep your arms up but move them to an angle so that she can land arond the center of your arms. your hands should still be ablove eye level.When you catch heep your arms tight so she doesnt fall through and bend wih you legs to absorb her weight.SHE WILL FALL FAST make sure to catch both her upper and lower body, it's best to catch from her butt to her back so she cant slip through.
# let go of her legs while still supporting her back so she can stand up and you're done!

=== Flyer ===
# load into a prep and make sure the bases are dipping together before going further. make sure to squeeze and lock ot your knees, your arms should be in a high v or a t to begin
# once youre ready to dismount the bases will throw you and you are gong to squeeze yor legs together and pull up your tos so you end laying flat in their arms. keep your core tight so yu dont pike and slip through their arms. Depending on wheather you do highschool or allstar cheer you may or may not catch yourself. if you are catching yourself simply leave your arms in a t and keep them stiff so that your arms will land on your bases/backspot to help support you. if you arent catching yourself brng your arms in by your sides when you dismount, try to ride the dismount as high as possible before bringing your arms in. FOR BOTH WAYS:ALWAYS WAIT UNTIL YOU LEAVE THE BASES HANDS TO PULL YOUR TOES UP AND LAY BACK or you will go back over our backspots head
# Trust your stunt group. theyve got you and they wont let you fall, if youre nervous you wont be as steady. Even if you dont do the prettiest dismount theyve got you and you wont get hurt

=== Backspot ===
# load into a prep and grab the flyers ankle, make sure to pull up to take some weight off the bases and squeeze her ankes together so she feels more secure.
# When youre ready to dismount make sure you know if your flyer is catching herself or not, this changes how you catch her. if she is catching herslef put your arms under hers to slow her fall, keep your hands in blades not fists so you dont whack her in the face! if she isnt catching herself youre going to reach for her back and put your palms flat against her upper back/shoulders absorb her weightad she comes down, you should be bringing her upper body to your chest but rememeber not to step backwards, if anything step in closer.When you thow her push up through her ankles and let go the simply catch accordingly.

== Tips ==
* Step into the stunt after throwing, the bases should be chest to chest and the backspot as close as possible.

== Warnings ==
* Dont try this without experience or a coach. also make sure you have a soft surface because anyone in the group can fall and get injured
